I come from a migrant family in Macau, my father is Vietnamese and my mother is from Grong Zhou, a city in southern China. After graduating from high school, I moved to Taiwan and graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in political science and sociology. Later, I earned a master's degree in sociology from National Tsing Hua University. During my time in Taipei, I met my significant other and eventually became a Taiwanese citizen. In 2018, I began my Ph.D. journey at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, specializing in sociology and demography.

As a migrant and a father to two children, I am keenly interested in studying the intergenerational transmission process of family-related attitudes and behaviors in migrant families.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I am an ardent supporter of Manchester United. Since childhood, my dream has always been to become a professional football (soccer) player!
